Hey there!

I'm Megan, a born and raised Iowa girl who left her roots in 2001 after graduating college to head out West, where Arizona became home for nine years. Then, in 2010 my husband and I moved our family to Colorado! My husband and I have been married since 2003, and we have two daughters and a son.

Along with counseling and personal training, I love attending my kids' sporting events and being their biggest fan, working out, coaching my club basketball team of amazing young ladies, traveling to warm destinations, hanging out on my back porch swing, and camping, boating & surfing with family and friends! My family and I also enjoy being members of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor.

Here's a little bit more about me as a counselor...

While I'm not sure what brought you by here today, I do know often times life throws things at us that are just too difficult to overcome on our own. If you resonate with this, you are not alone. In fact, you are normal! If you are searching for a professional, compassionate companion on your journey to health and wellness, you have come to the right place. Welcome!

Maybe you are finally finding the courage to seek change for the first time, or maybe you have been searching for quite some time and just haven't found it yet.

Perhaps you believe in your heart there is freedom to be found from the chains that bind you, but hope feels hard to grasp.

Maybe you have exhausted your family and friends with your struggles and just need an unbiased, safe place to share your heart and vulnerability without being judged or criticized.

Your needs matter, even if you don't even know what those needs are...yet! Yes, you read that right. Your needs and desires do matter, even on the days you don't feel seen or heard.

It's my passion to walk alongside you to listen with empathy to your life story without judgment, assist in identifying your personal strengths, explore new perspectives, and collaborate to help you discover healthy changes leading to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

The way we think about things can lead us astray and into a state of anxiety. Often times, we mistake our thoughts and beliefs as truths. By bringing attention to and changing our thought processes, beliefs, and automatic thoughts that can cause distress and anxiety, we can experience peace and empowerment.

Together, we will identify solutions that work for you. There IS hope for health and healing no matter what your past, present, or future may look like! No one is too far from the mercy, grace, forgiveness, and redemptive love of God. No one.

As a former collegiate athlete and current basketball coach of adolescent girls, I have the unique and personal experience of learning how to manage anxiety and perfectionism influenced by athletics. And, perfectionism can hinder many facets of our lives.

Regardless of where your personal journey has led you, I truly believe grace, peace, joy, and hope can be experienced and you are worthy of all of these! Change isn't always easy and comfortable, but positive change can lead to abundant life.

While honoring and respecting your personal values and beliefs, I counsel from the perspective and belief that you were created with a unique purpose for God's greater plan, and He longs for you not to merely survive, but to truly thrive!
